As of this week, there is a new mailing list for higher education researchers, called Higher Education Researchers Network, or HERN.
HERN will be a new list entirely, built from scratch, and very similar to the previous ECHER mailing list, which will not be operational any longer. HERN’s purpose will be to share news, updates, and insights from the field, about conferences, calls, publications, and other relevant topics.
BUT: While the HERN list will be a successor of the ECHER mailing list—and as such especially welcoming early-career higher education researchers—it will be open to all higher education researchers out there, anywhere in the world, and at any stage of their career.
The HERN list will be administered by Dr. Tamilla Mammadova from ADA University (Baku, Azerbaijan), where the mailing list will be also hosted.
If you wish to subscribe to HERN, go to this link https://forms.gle/CqEbqyBRkS9fBrdm9 and fill in the form that’s there. Should you have any questions, you may write to the moderator Tamilla directly (the email can be found on her website, linked above).
Finally: As for the ECHER network itself, it is currently in “sleeping mode,” until (again) some new people who want to do something with the network show up.
In the meantime, this website will stay online, with mostly technical maintenance doing the work in the background.
